The storm has cleared!! There were many repairs to be made. I helped the ship's carpenter, Alexander working below pluging leaks. We haled out some new rope sence our old riging espsialy the mainstay was worn and broken. So I spent the better part of the after noon spliceing rope with some other sailers.Had beef and pees in stew for supper though I think the Captain took pork and gravy for part of his dinner.

We have a heavy storm on us and the men have worked all day just to keep her up. Cap'n has made up an night shift to work the men are extremly tired so am I. But I can see the end of the clouds.
